Heat-loving sugarcane plant propagation is through vegetative breeding. This important economic crop does not reproduce easily with seed and harvest time would take far too long if grown with that method. Growing new sugarcanes rapidly through seed canes is the preferred method.

Answer:

Sugarcane is weak stemmed plant ( Monocots) .These plants produce stilt roots from the lower nodes to give additional support. If the sugar cane plant allowed to produce flowers and seeds it takes long time .Man want exploit natural phenomenon for his welfare .To some extend man has control over nature not like other animals they only adopt to nature otherwise they become extinct .Secondly if the sugar cane plant allowed till it produce flowers and fruits the stored food sucrose in the stem have been utilized by the plant for the production of fruits .We could not extract and produce sugar out of the plant .That is why man cuts the plant before its maturity .
