Hi Friend♥♥♥
♦ In Sulphur two of the 3p electrons are paired .
♦There is some repulsion between the paired electrons in a same sub level
♦This reduces the force of attraction between the nucleus.
♦So less energy is required to remove it
This is the reason why sulfur had low ionization energy than phosphorus
Hope this helps u Friend♥♥♥
