A substance is paramagnetic (attracted to a magnetic field) if it contains unpaired electrons.

Sulphur in vapour state exhibits paramagnetism . In vapour state, sulphur partly exists as S2 molecule and has two unpaired electrons like O2 in the antibonding π-orbital. Hence, exhibits paramagnetism.
