why sulphur exists as S8 molecule and not as S2?

Because it's atomic weight is 8 i.e. 8 electrons and protons.

first of all if you are talking about sulphur it it is S but sulphur gas exist in S8 because it is a octa-atomic molecule. In nature S can't exist because it is not complete like H2O is water and the water all over the world is H2O.
