why sun is reddish in colour

its actually white in colour but as the white light penetrates our atmosphere the wavelengths of white light split into VIBGYOR and the longest wavelength is red colour so due to the this phenomenon the sun is seem to ve red and sky to be blue

=> During sunrise, the light rays coming from the sun have to travel a greater distance in the earth’s atmosphere before reaching our eyes. While travelling, the shorter wave lengths of the spectra VIBGYOR are scattered out and only the longer wavelength i.e., Red is able to reach our eyes. Since other spectra have a shorter wavelength than Red spectrum, the Red colour is able to reach our eyes after atmospheric scattering of light. Aftermath, the sun appears redddish in colour.
