Why t atomic size of Al3+ <Li+<Mg2+<K
can anyone tell with the reason?​​

Answer:

First of all you have to know that size of cations are smaller than the neutral atom so we can say that ,

for ex: (Al3->Al>Al3+) and

●as we go down the period size increases.

●as we go towards in the group size decreases.

So with out any doubt K+>Mg2+ and

as we know that the atoms of 1st group are large but as we go down the period their size increases so by this explanation Mg2+>Li+.

● Al3+is the second element of 13th group so it's normal atom Al would also be smaller than Li hence without any harm Li+>Al3+.
