The intestine absorbs only those which are required by the body to carry out its function. Hence they don't digest and eventually don't absorb that type of food. The interstitial covering which protects the intestine are present in the upper surface of the intestine. It is used as a protective covering. Hence it is the reason Taenia solium not digested in the intestine of man because it's not required.

Answer:

Tapeworms lives inside the host intestine from there it absorbs digested food. On the outside of their bodies tapeworms have a skin like covering tough enough to withstand being dissolved by digestive juices and porous enough to allow tiny bits of food to pass through which are already digested by host enzymes.

Explanation:

Like all members of the Cestoda, T. solium lacks a digestive system, and feeds by absorbing nutrients (in the form of carbohydrates) from the digestive system of its host across its membrane.
