Tamil Nadu an unique state recieves rainfall two times a year once in monsoon season and another in winter season.

Tamil Nadu receives winter rainfall due to the north East trade winds . And it receives monsoon rainfall due to the southwest trade winds which blow towards the northern hemisphere.
