Hey there!
We know that,
area of parallelogram is ( base × height )
Also, we know that, diagonal of parallelogram divide it into two ∆s which are equal in area.
So, ar∆ABC = ar∆ADC
So we can write as :
area of ||gm = 2ar∆ABC
=> Ar ∆ABC = area of ||gm/2 = ½ × area of ||gm
area of ∆ = 1/2 × base × height.
