Answer:

Explanation:

Ranga was the son of a village accountant who had gone to Bangalore for education. He returned to his village after six months which became a big news for the villagers.

Ranga visited Shyama’s house that afternoon with oranges. Shyama was moved by the generosity of Ranga and wished to see him settled in life by getting married.

He enquired  Rangappa about his plans for marriage. To his enquiry Ranga refused of getting married till he finds a right match. He had his own conviction about marriage.

He believed getting married to a young and immature girl was a silly act and that a man should only marry a girl whom he admires. He had strong reservation for arranged marriage. This made the author a bit sad.

Hope this helps.
