why the blood group O+ can donate blood to any group

Type O blood is the called the universal donor because it has neither A nor B surface antigens on the redblood cells. ... So, Type AB blood isreferred to as the universal recipient because someone with this Type blood has not got antibodies that would attack transfused blood that contains Type A or B antigens.
