Blood is a liquid form of tissue . Blood is made up of cells and liquid that's why it is called a liquid tissue.

Each tissue has a specific function. The function of blood is to transport Oxygen and digested food to each cells and collect waste materials and carbon-dioxide. It also transports fats, and drugs molecules throughout the body , because of liquid nature it connects cells and tissues each other.

Blood is called a connective tissue because it carries with lots many digestive substances ,Oxygen from lungs ,foods from small intestine, and provide it to other tissues and organs of the body. Since, it connects heart, lungs and small intestine with other tissue of the body and works as a medium between them. hence, it is called the connective tissue

hope this helps you. ..
