Blood is called connective tissue because it is a fluid matrix which transports oxygen and other nutrients and minerals and hence connect the each and every part of body.

Blood also transport food materials, such as glucose, amino acids, fatty acids and triglycerides ; vitamins and minerals salts are carried by plasma from the alimentary canal and liver to all the tissues body for growth, repair and energy.

As it transports oxygen, carbon dioxide, waste products, hormones, metabolic intermediates, raw materials, It goes through every part of body and make a connection hence known as connective tissue

Blood is a liquid form of tissue. Blood is made up of cells and liquid that's why it is called a liquid tissue.

Each tissue has a specific function. The function of blood is to transport oxygen and digested food to each cells and collect waste material and carbon dioxide. It also transport fat, drugs molecules to through out the body. Because of liquid nature it connects cells or tissue to each other.

Blood is called a connective tissue, because it carries with lots of many digestive substances, oxygen from lungs, foods from small intestines and provide it to other tissues and organs of the body.

Since, it connect the heart , lungs, small intestines with other tissues of the body and works as a medium between them ,So it is called a connective tissue of the body.

Blood is a connective tissue , because it has matrix it is produced from bone marrow , the stem cells which gives rise to all the blood cells.

Blood has two components :-

# cell

# Blood plasma

because of blood plasma it is called a liquid tissue.

→ It posses all the properties of connective tissue.

→ It connects various body parts with each other's.

→ It has all three components of connective tissue , i.e, cells, fibres and matrix.

→ It is mesodermal in origin.

→ Fibroblast is the most important cell of connective tissue which is present in blood.

→ It transports foods , oxygen, hormones and drugs to every cells of the body.

→ It also collects waste material from cells and discard it to kidney .
