the blood clot because our platelets release an enzyme called thrombokinase which acts on prothrombin and convert it into thrombin
this thrombin acts on other substance in the blood called fibrinogen and convert it into insoluble fibrin and this makes the blood to clot and prevent the blood loss from our body...

The blood gets clotted due presence of platelet cells in our blood.
When we get an injury on our body , the platelet cells on the injured area gets activated and clots the blood i.e, restricts it from from flowing outside the body, thus prevents it's loss.

u are not right it dont get clotted in the blood bank because we use anticlotting in the blood bank
