Iron displaces the Cu2+ ions..
2Fe(s) + 3 Cu2+(aq) = 2Fe3+(aq) + 3Cu(s)
The Cu2+ ions that are blue are removed and replaced by the Fe3+ ions which will give a yellowish solution. The yellow tinge with the blue will give a green appearance during this change.
