Answer:
In life, muscle cells contract and relax due to the actions of two filamentous proteins (actin and myosin), which slide along each other. After death, the cells are depleted of their energy source and the protein filaments become locked in place. This causes the muscles to become rigid and locks the joints.

Reason ➡
- because obviously the heart stops beating and as a result all the functions and system fail
- the body does not move as because all the parts are now worthless
- and the body contracts because the body now neither gets food or nothing so as a result when we have also experience that when we keep anything for a long days without touching or without doing anything it generally contracts any living things any living insect or anything be due to the unavailability of food and proper nutrients the body does not get developed and show it contracts further which happens in the case of dead bodies
