In the Activity bulb does not flow in the solutions of Alcohol and Glucose because,

To Make the Bulb Glow the solution Must conduct Electricity since it conducts electricity it contains free ions.

Since Alcohol and Glucose does not have any presence of Ions hence they does not conduct Electricity and Bulb does not Glow.

More To Know :-

  • Acids have ions of H+ ions in aqueous solution and hence they conduct electricity.

  • Rain water are Slightly acidic because of many impurities and Inorganic Compounds. they are not neutral as distilled water which does not conduct electricity due to no free ions.
