➡️Leaves are colored by molecules called pigments.
➡️The pigment thatcauses leaves to be green is chlorophyll.
➡️This is why leaves turn yellow or red in fall.
➡️In fall, plants break down and reabsorb chlorophyll, letting the colors of other pigments show through.
