Why the colour of sky appear blue on clear day

During noon hours as the distance travelled by the sun rays in the atmosphere is less than that compared to morning and evening hours .Therefore all colours reach your eye without much scattering  and disappear in the sky.Hence the sun appears white during noon

sky appears blue because when seven colours of sunlight enters in atmosphere least wavelength blue will scatter by dust/smoke particles. so it seems to be blue .
