why the cooking gas gives blue flame and matchstick give yellow flame??

If the gas burns completely it produces Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and water vapor. It also produces blue flame when it combusts completely. But when it does not burn completely it produces Carbon Mono-oxide (CO) and burns with a yellow or orange color. This happens when the burning gas does not get enough air.

A complete combustion of a fuel gives blue flames whereas the incomplete combination gives red, yellow, etc colered flames because of unburned fueals. hence, A candle produces a yellow flames whereas burning of LPG ptoduces blue flames.
