Hallo dear!!!

Gd afternoon.

Have a nice day ahead!!!

The cotton textile industries are mainly concentrated in the cotton growing belt of Maharashtra and Gujarat because

  • The moist climate of area helped in the growth of cotton so raw cotton was readily available in area

  • There are ports nearby so the manufactured goods could be easily transported.

  • There are enough labour force in the area. There are Farmers, cotton ball pluckers and workers who does the work of spinning ,weaving ,dyeing, tailoring & sewing.

  • It was easy to access the market for finished goods from here.

  • Supporting industries involved manufacturing dyes & packing materials are available in those areas.

Hope it helps u.
