why the current is scaler quantity

Current has both magnitude and direction. As per the definition of vector defined in encyclopedia, current should be a vector quantity. But, we know that current is a scalar quantity.

Current is vector quantity because it have direction and magnitude, as we know that those quantity which have both magnitude and direction are only vector quantity it have both directions and magnitude and it is not a scalar quantity.
