As the stars are huge body so there movement. It is restricted only to some extent and they appear moving as Earth moves.

You might see two stars an inch apart(from earth through naked eye), but actually they may be separated by millions of miles. Thats because of their humungous distance from the earth.
And they might be going in different directions, in same direction, towards each other, or away from each other. So distance between them would definately change a lot by the time we reach near them.
Its only in case of binary stars that distance between them doesn’t change much.
