Why the dog pull and wait for his master? neighbor saw which struggle ? Answer

when duke realised that his master was not well after jumping on him , he took it upon himself to bring Chuck Hooper back to his feet. he just forced chuck to go with him for a walk. as the man was paralysed, he moved slowly , so the dog would cover some distance , wait for his master and when chuck would reach him , he would repeat it all again. in case chuck fell down ,he would patiently wait for chuck to stand up.
neighbours saw this daily struggle of a dog getting his master back to his feet.
