why the duration day and night not equal on Earth?​

Day and night occurs due to rotation of earth the part facing towards sun experiences day and the part which is not facing towards sun experiences night . So the duration of day and night depends on rotation of earth and it is equal because earth rotate uniformly .

Because of rotation and revolution of earth on its axis and around the sun respectively
