Why the elder people feel lonely and neglect? What are the reasons of their loneliness?

Many a times, people tend to put their parents/grandparents under care at a old age centre. This causes a sense of lonliness in their heart. We don't give them the importance they deserve. They may do mistakes, but we should accept the fact that 'we all do mistakes'. We should give the elders the love and respect they deserve!
