Why the energy of antibonding molecular orbital is always higher than bonding molecular orbital?

if the bonding orbital are filled, then any additional electrons will occupy antibonding orbital. Since the anti bonding orbital is more anti bonding than bonding orbital is more bonding, the molecule has a higher energy than two separated helium atoms and it is unstable
