Why the escape velocity of earth does not changes when the projected angle is changed?

The escape velocity is defined as the speed at which the (positive) kinetic energy of an object balances the (negative) gravitational potential energy.

Your kinetic energy is

Where mm is your mass and vv is your speed. Note that it does not depend on the angle of your velocity, only on its size, that is, theabsolute value v≡|v|v≡|v| of your velocityvector vv.
