camels have feet which are larger than most animals because they have to walk in the desert. Since the sand in the desert sinks while walking, the camels have broad feet so that they cover more area while walking so that there is less pressure on the sand and hence they do not sink into the sand. The same way wading birds have a membrane between their toes so that they can push the water and propel themselves .
