Why the formula of Phosphorus Oxide (Pentoxide) is P2O5, whereas the valency of phosphorus is -3,
How is Phosphorus able to lose 5 atoms, if this is possible Why carbon can't Lose 4 atoms.......
Please tell I'm confused...

Because phosphorus can expand its valency upto 5th shell and carbon cannot expand its valency further to 4 as it can only make covalent bond with other atoms.
