Pitcher plant is a carnivorous plant uses its beautiful and attractive color to attract insects. It has a small cavity which contains a liquid that paralyzes the insect called pitfall trap.

The sides of this cavity is slippery and has some hair like appendages which are directed downwards which traps the insect in such a way that it does not comes out or climb out.
