Carbon dioxide has the ability to attach to hemoglobin molecules. That is why its higher percentage istransported by water of RBCs as compared to water of plasma. RBChave greater capability to bind to CO2and form carbminoheamoglobin than to the plasma hence they carry higher percentage of CO2.(hope you like it)
