The Indian constitution is rigid as well as flexible,i.e.,some parts can be easily amended by the Parliament by a simple majority(one vote more than half).However,for amendment of most of the other clauses,a special majority(2/3rd majority of those present and voting and simple majority of the total membership of the House)is required in the Parliament.
