Indo gangetic plains have high density of population because: 1)It has rivers like ganga,indus,brahmaputra so they can make their life comfortable in that water rich region. 2)Because of the fertile land i.e indus,ganga,brahmaputra made it fertile by carrying sediments and silt so they can practice agriculture well.

Indo-gangetic plains have high density of population because of the alluvial soil which is very fertile in nature and perfect for agricultural purposes. The river makes the weather bearable even in the extreme condition. And the most important thing is water is life and in the bank of river, water cannot be scarce ever.
