why the industrial development in the state of Assam is still slow

Assam has seen no growth in Industrial Field full-fledgedly till date. The reason behind this may be the people of Assam are mostly dependent on Cultivation or other non-technical occupations. You’ll still find people ploughing up the soil with bulls in Assam , whereas states like Punjab and Haryana are using high end technical methods to boost up their productivity. Most of the educated people who hail from Assam are not getting employment within their state due to the lack of industries and job crisis. There is a huge UNEMPLOYMENT in Assam, which I think , can not be seen in any other states.

One Major factor that is keeping Assam undergrowth is The tremendously Corrupted political system and the Leaders. Extortion and bribery are common in any state jobs in Assam. Recently, a few people were caught in APSC ( Assam Public Service Commission) scam and some investigations are still under process I guess. If central govt offers an amount for the development in any sector of Assam, i doubt if even 50% of that amount is being utilized for that purpose. Every other person you see in state govt sector is corrupted in Assam.

And, people of Assam are very conservative in nature. Which automatically blocks the gateway to overall growth and development.
