International trade is considered as economic barometer for country due to following points
(a) Advancement of international trade of a country is an index to its economic prosperity.
(b) As the resources are space bound, no country can survive without international trade. Import and export are the major components of trade.
(c) The balance of a country is the different between export and import. If the value of export exceeds the value of import, it said to be favorable balance of trade. On the other hand if the value of the import exceeds the value of export, it is said unfavorable balance of trade....
