Hola

Plz follow me

These oppositely charged compoundsare held together by strong electrostatic forces of attraction. As these forces are very strong, a considerable amount of heat energy is required to break them. Hence, ionic compound have a high melting point

This is because of the strong attractive electrostatic forces holding the oppositely charged ions together and a large number of ionic bonds in the crystal lattice. These require a lot of thermal energy to overcome and hence have both high melting and boiling points.

Hope it helps
