Because, people tend to forget that if they continue to be selfish, there will be no world exists in future. Because of all means of pollution and ecological imbalance they make.
Another side of selfish is towards other human beings. what all they care is about themselves. People forgetting humanity, ethics, their minimum responsibility towards society. people forget that they are not going to live here forever. This is the root cause.
A good person = a good family = a good area = a good place to live.
World is becoming a nonsense place to live according to me.
Selfish people are making it nonsense, and sensible people not responding to selfish, are making it to continue.

There lived a wife and husband, husband in a social responsible position.
Their son loved one girl. She is eligible in all the ways they can think of. The girl and son loved sincerely. They dint accept just because of two reasons
1. caste. (I personally feel this - Ego that they dint select the girl). Their son is their status symbol that , if he marry that girl, he can leave his family. They asked him to decide between his parents and the girl.
2. As she is the only child for her parent's, they think that her parent's responsibility will fell on their son. And they don't want their son to take care of her parents.
This is the height's of selfishness of parents who gave birth to male.
Parents forgot that they are not gonna live with their son forever. He needs a life-partner whom he likes not the one they like.
Parents always sacrifice anything for their kid's happiness. In this case vice versa.If parents are this selfish towards their son, imagine the other people on the roads.
