why the length of day and night change?

hoxabel: Earth is tilted at an angle of 23°. As Earth moves around sun , the axis points in the same direction in the space, Therefore Polar regions of earth spend quite a bit pointed to sun in summer and point away from sun in the winters. Because of this the length of day and night changes.
