Why the level of concentrated sulphuric acid gets higher if it is left in an open vessel for a week ?

Concentrated sulphuric acid readily absorbs moisture from atmosphere and gets diluted.

Sulphuric acid is highly hygroscopic i.e it will attract water molecules immediately from its vicinity. If kept open then it will absorb moisture from atmosphere and its concentration will change .
