why the magdeburg hemisphere did not break when such a heavy atmospheric pressure is apple on it after Vacuuming it??????

I know it can't open by 8 pairs of horses doing opposite motion
but why it didn't break some reason​

Magdeburg hemispheres are two half-spheres of equal size. Placing them together traps air between them. This air is merely trapped, and not compressed, so the pressure inside is the same as the pressure of the atmosphere outside the spheres.
