why the major of the people giving a lot of money to the god? why they are not helping to the poor?

I cogitate they give to god rather then to Poors because they think giving money to god will make him gratefully towards his followers .....and he will consider towards it

we are made by god and everthing is made by god so we give more money to god then poor
