 melting point is decided by the strength of ionic bond. NaCl has Na+ and Cl-. Here the electrostatic attraction = 1 × 1(According to Coulomb's law, the ionic bond strength is decided by the product of the ionic charge)
Fecl has Fe+ and l3-. Here the electrostatic attraction = 2 × 2That is fecl3 is 4 times stronger than NaCl. So its melting point is higher for fecl3
