why the metals of high reactivity cannot be obtained from their compound by heating with carbon?...
explain in brief.

this is because, the bond between high reactive metals and their compounds such as sulphides or oxides have a strong bond. the value of their bond disassociation enthalpy is comparable high then to low reactive metals
