Why the metals which are very high in reactivity series cannot be reduced by carbon?

Because they have more affinity for oxygen than carbon.

This is because they are highly reactive metals and have highest affinity for oxygen. They can only be reduced by passing electricity through them i.e. by electrolytic reduction. that's why carbon cannot reduce oxide of such Meta.
