Methanol causes death even taken in a low quantity by human beings because it have directly impact on the medulla oblangata of our brain that controls many of our involuntary actions like breathing, heart beat, etc. When the methanol is consumed by humans even in very low quantity it destroy our optic nerve and attack on our medulla oblangata, hence causes sudden death
