There are many reasons because of which monsoon rain is unevenly distributed over India some of those reasons are the latitudinal extend because of which the people living  in tropical and coastal region experience more rainfall than the people living deserted regions.Another reason because of which this takes place is the difference of the air pressure in opposite directions of the monsoon connected to the winds.

Answer:

The monsoon rain is unevenly distributed over India because most part of India receives relief type of rainfall due to which the windward side gets more rainfall than leeward side

other reasons for it might be that India is a large country in terms of distance so the moisture laden winds have to travel a long distance but till that time they had shed there most of the moisture on the windward side of the reliefs

Therefore different parts of India gets different amount as well as different type of precipitation because of the above mentioned reasons

hope it helps you
