Because the moon always in space thus there is no nearby objects where light wil be reflected..

Its not about the black universe or universe is black in simple words .. space is not black .. there is no light above because all the light which is emitted travels all the way and get stretched due to gravity causing many shifts.. thus due to low light and luminosity we see black there
