Pressure is indirectly proportional to area. Nails have pointed ends to get easily fixed in walls as pointed ends give high pressure to get it inside.

nails have sharp ends because nails has to go inside the wall and according to a science rule lesser the area larger the pressure. thats why it is needed to have a pointed end.if it have broader end they cannot go into the wall.
