Cylindrical fullerenes are also called carbon nanotubes (buckytubes). BuckMinisterfullerene is an allotrope of carbon containing clusters of 60 carbon atoms joined together to form spherical molecules . Sine there are 60 carbon atoms in a molecule of buckminsterfullerene , so its formula is C₆₀.

netra93: i think so perfect ans is, it has spherical molecule in which 60 carbon atoms are joined together . chemists named this perfect sphere Buckminster fullerene , after the American architect Buckminster Fuller,who designed such domes that had hexagons and pentagons to provide rigid structure with a three-dimensional geometry.
